Counselling Services

HKS Counselling Services is a Francophone community organization that strives to help improve the mental health, wellness and safety of its clientele through quality care and services in both official languages.

In addition to providing services, the organization is an institution whose role also encompasses maintaining the French language, transmitting Francophone culture and fostering solidarity in the Franco-Ontarian minority.

Mental Health

This program provides free and confidential one-on- one counselling to individuals dealing with a wide range of mental health and psychosocial issues.

Violence Against Women (VAW)

This program offers services to any person who self-identifies as a woman 16 years of age or over, with or without dependants, who is a victim or who is at risk of being a victim of violence and/or abuse.

Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario

Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario

The Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario Program is delivered by community non-profit agencies. Staff and volunteers provide free, non-judgemental, confidential support to people affected by crime and tragic circumstances.

Partner Assault Response Service

The Partner Assault Response Program is a specialized education / counselling program for individuals who have been physically violent, emotionally abusive or controlling towards a spouse or intimate partner.

Direct Accountability Program

Direct Accountability Program

The Direct Accountability Program is an alternative to formal prosecution for people who have been charged with minor criminal offences. The program involves accused persons being held accountable through community-based sanctions.

Family court support program

Family court support program

The Ministry of the Attorney General from the Province of Ontario Province provides funding to the HKS Counselling Services to deliver the Family Court Support Program. This community-based program provides supports to victims of domestic violence involved in the family court process.
